Day 36 (D-25) From Buffalo to Cody / Malboro country / Rin Tin Tin

On the road again*.  From the town of Buffalo to the town of Cody.  3 hours and 6 minutes, if we don't stop, 177 miles to cover before we arrive in Cody.  For the students who are going to Wyoming, you can look here at the map

The town of Cody is named after William Frederick Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill (1846-1917).  He was an American scout, a bison hunter and a showman and he helped to create this town. More on Buffalo Bill in a few days.
Population 2017: 9520
Two photos.  Can you guess who they are?

A

B

B is easy.  A is a famous American who was born in Cody, Wyoming in 1912 and died in 1956 in a car crash.  He said "Every good painter paints what he is."  If you can't find the answer, I'll tell you tomorrow.

2.  Another television series: Do you remember The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin? It was an American children's television program.  It began in October 1954 and ended in May 1959.  It was the story of a boy orphaned in an Indian raid who was being raised by the soldiers at US Cavalry post know as Fort Apache.  The boy and his German shepherd dog Rin Tin Tin helped the soldiers establish order in the American West. If you are curious, you might like to go surfing to discover the origin of the name Rin Tin Tin.
