FOOD

Yes we ate often during our 10 days in Wyoming.  We had a taste of many American dishes, desserts and drinks, but what do you think is THE thing to try in Wyoming?  I let you find the answer to that question.  It was often on our menu.  But, no longer, now that we are back in France.  It was certainly a good idea to eat it while we had the chance. So special.
Before I share several photos on the subject, here's a song from a musical comedy that I remember :  Food, Glorious Food.  It comes from Oliver!, a musical comedy (on Broadway 1963, 1964) and a film in 1968) based on Charles Dickens' book Oliver Twist.
Enjoy:

Now back to Wyoming with food photos.  I'll need a few blog entries to be able to share all these delicious photos:

 Our first meal, in Denver...
11 o'clock at night after our long flight Friday.... it was 7 o'clock in the morning Saturday for us (Grenoble time)!
Universal Food: pizza, salade and some had beer too!

Our first day in Wyoming, waiting to be served Saturday lunch in a really Western restaurant.

Saturday Evening.  You've already seen photos of this Bunkhouse Bar and Grill where we ate and danced to country music.

There we ate BBQ short ribs, with coleslaw and chili.  It think a little baked beans too.

Monday afternoon we had a picnic lunch at Dan O'Brien's ranch!  Fabulous welcome, fabulous food, fabulous people.

Interns who helped Jill, Dan's wife, prepare the meal.

Tuesday, another picnic lunch...simple sandwiches in the shade,
but because you see the blue sky, but not the scenery ...
I'll need to add one more photo.... -->

We had our picnic lunch in The Badlands (more photos of that later) on a very hot day.  This was the view looking in the opposite direction.  Magnificent.

More food photos to follow.
What was on the menu often in Wyoming/South Dakota?  Return to the blog and you will see!
My best,
Jane
