Day 35 (D-26) Music, Literature, Art ...and now a little Humor today

Today, it's time for a little cowboy humor.
1
The eastern lady who was all ready to take a horseback ride
said to the cowboy,
--"Can you get me a nice gentle pony?"
-- "Shore," said the cowboy. "What kind of a saddle do you want, English or western?"
--"What's the difference?" asked the lady.
--"The western saddle has a horn on it," said the cowboy.

--"If the traffic is so thick here in the mountains that I need a horn on my saddle, I don't believe I want to ride."

What is the play on words ?
"Horn" has two meanings.
Can you find the two meanings ?

The devout cowboy lost his favorite Bible while he was mending fences out on the range. Three weeks later, a donkey walked up to him carrying the Bible in its mouth. The cowboy couldn't believe his eyes. He took the precious book out of the donkey's mouth, raised his eyes heavenward and exclaimed, "It's a miracle!" "Not really," said the donkey. "Your name is written inside the cover."

If a cowboy rides into town on Friday and three days later leaves on Friday, how does he do it?

If you can't find the answer, you'll have to return to the blog later....

PS.  To answer a student's question: Longmire Days is a 3-day festival that celebrates the success of local writer, Craig Johnson, through his novels and hit TV show. Activities include autograph sessions, conversations with the actors and industry professionals, charity softball game, 5km run, street dance, motorcycle poker run, book writing seminar and so much more!!
